Journey and Background

My journey started when I was 8 years old. That is when I experienced the passion of playing basketball. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and played on one of the top NYC high school basketball programs at Lincoln high school. Basketball and playing for Lincoln allowed me to see benefits of passion, hard work and dedication. Through that experience I have transformed my passion, dedication and hard work into helping others like all of my clients to improve their health as well as to help other practitioners to learn my concepts to help the practitioners open new opportunities, grow their practices and help their clients to improve their health.

I have owned a health practice for the last 20 years. I have studied from some of the top practitioners in the health field. I obtained my Masters in Exercise Science from The University of California at Pennsylvania. The focus of our program was Corrective Exercise for Rehabilitation. We focused our study on the segmental functional exercise system. Our program was written by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) the CEO, at the time, was Dr. Michael Clark. I did a 2-year program in Toronto Canada in Manual Osteopathy from Guy Voyer, Osteopath. In this program, I learned a greater detail of the segmental functional exercise system as well as greater understanding and application of manual therapy. I followed up with a mentorship with Dr. Keith Pyne who has been a Chiropractor and manual therapist for over 25 years. Dr. Pyne is one of the most sought-after manual therapists especially in professional sports. He was Head of the Health Advisory Board of The Washington Nationals and is now is consulting to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While, I felt I had a good understanding of muscular-skeletal injuries, exercises , and manual therapy, my passion was to get into the health field to find new ways to help people to improve their health. I felt with the current population of people I was seeing at the time I could help them more efficiently. There was also a whole new population of people that I felt I can help like people who suffer from Concussions, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Balance Disorders, Movement Disorders, Memory Disorders, Strokes, Parkinson, Kids with ADHD, Kids with Learning Disabilities, Autoimmune Conditions, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia ), and ALS. As I saw this whole new population that can be helped, over the last 12 years I have increased my knowledge base with taking a 4-year program with a Doctor in Neuroscience and Nutrition. I also extensively studied the works of Neurologists Dr. Leigh and Dr. Zee. They have put out a gold standard book called Neurology of Eye Movements. I have also studied the work of Neurologist Dr. Hal Blumenfeld as well as Physical Therapist Susan Herdman. I also attended Johns Hopkins University Medical Vestibular Course. The Course was a Comprehensive Course that consisted of 31 Modules Online and 2 Days Intensive Onsite at Johns Hopkins. The Johns Hopkins Vestibular Course was taught by 11 Medical Doctors, 3 Surgeons, 8 Neurologist, 10 Physical Therapist and 2 Occupational Therapist. My goal is to constantly be learning, researching and applying new creative ideas and concepts to help improve people’s health. My goal is to share my knowledge and concepts with other practitioners.
